With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Chamber of Commerce's previous monopoly on
representing foreign applicants ended, resulting in the foundation of several private offices handling intellectual
property matters. In order to offer our clients an efficient, high quality service in this field, we opened our own office
in the very centre of Moscow in 1993. The head of our office is Mrs. I.A. Vesselitskaya, a Russian and Eurasian patent attorney. Mrs. Vesselitskaya is assisted by five other attorneys working in different fields of intellectual property and a staff of 14 employees comprising among others chemical and biochemical engineers as well as mechanical engineers and a team of freelance translators. We represent our clients directly before the Russian and Eurasian Patent Offices without needing to involve any additional attorney firms. All specialist work relating to inventions and trademarks and all correspondence with our clients is conducted from our Munich office, whereas all formalities and the main part of the translation work is handled by our Moscow office, including filing, receiving official documents and paying fees. Furthermore, information on new developments relating to intellectual property matters in other states of the former Soviet Union can be obtained quickly and reliably through our Moscow representation. |
