New Patent Authorities in Azerbaijan

The State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been liquidated by a ukase of the President of Azerbaijan as of December 27, 2001. In its stead there has been created a new organization which is called "State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents". The regulations for this organization are in the process of being worked out and will hopefully be completed in the near future.
