Eurasia - EAPO joins the Hague System for the international registration of industrial designs

The Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) has acceded to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs.

As of October 10, 2026, applicants may designate the EAPO in international applications for the registration of industrial designs. This allows applicants to seek protection throughout the territories of the member states of the Eurasian Patent System through a single international application. The accession offers applicants greater opportunities to commercialize their design solutions and bring their products to international markets. The granting of protection in the territory of the EAPO remains subject to the applicable examination procedures.
