Eurasia - From January 1, 2023 the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) issues patent certificates only in electronic form

From January 1, 2023 the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) will issue Eurasian patent and design certificates only in electronic form. Proprietors of rights can still obtain a Eurasian certificate in paper form without payment of official fees, if they file a corresponding request with the EAPO after the publication of grant of the Eurasian right.

Assignment and renewal certificates will also be issued only in electronic form from January 1, 2023, wherein the certificates can still be obtained in paper form upon receipt of a corresponding request from the proprietors of the rights.
