Valery Leonidovich Petrov

• Born in 1945
• Studied at the State University in Kiev
• Studied Patent Systems at the Kiev Central Training Institute for Patent Systems
• Attended further training programmes on the subject of intellectual property protection at WIPO and USPTO
• Worked for many years as Director of the Ukrainian Patent and Trade Mark Office
• Worked for many years as a scientific and technical adviser to the Ukrainian President
• Has been an adviser to the first Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Chairman of the Ukrainian government's Executive Committee for Innovation Policy since 2004
• Has been working for EUROMARKPAT since 2000

• Advising clients in all areas of industrial property protection
• Representing clients before the Ukrainian Patent and Trade Mark Office
